A special edition Packaging project that celebrates the essence of Porto, the picturesque city nestled in northwest Portugal renowned for its iconic bridges and illustrious port wine heritage.
Inspired by the city’s vibrant culture and distinctive street tiles, we crafted a visual homage that captures the essence of Porto in a graphic synthesis. This packaging design blends artistic vision with cultural heritage, offering a unique and captivating representation of Porto’s charm and character.
Brief
Our mission was to craft a series of four distinct wine bottles, encapsulating a unique facet of Porto’s charm and heritage. From the elegant architecture to the iconic street tiles, every design element will reflect the city’s essence. Through meticulous attention to detail and innovative graphic representation, we aimed to create packaging that not only showcases Porto’s cultural richness but also elevates the wine drinking experience.
Approach
Drawing inspiration from Porto’s iconic street tiles, we meticulously curated a collection of photographs captured during our research trip. From this selection, we carefully chose four distinct tiles that showcase a spectrum of design nuances.
Each bottle design incorporates the street name and coordinates where the tiles were discovered, ensuring a personalised and authentic connection to Porto’s streetscape.
